WASHINGTON
Vice President Joe Biden will hold a formal sit down with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the White House confirmed Tuesday.
The Turkish leader is in Washington for a five-day official trip in which he will participate in a nuclear summit that begins Thursday.
The Biden, Erdogan bilateral meeting will take place the same day, according to the vice president’s office.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters aboard Air Force One that he anticipates President Barack Obama will hold an informal meeting with Erdogan.
